WOW! What a tremendous Festival of the Arts in 2012! It was estimated that 500 or more guests passed through the doors on Sunday, April 15. Two hundred programs were ordered, and those were gone before the afternoon was half gone. As usual, the art work was so great that the judges had a difficult time making their decisions. The entertainment was first class—Elaine Eiserer with her piano reflections, RAC’s own Flute Fantasia, Bob Cochran and the Raytown Symphonic Community Band, and Bruce and Sue Marston with their Broadway Ballads selected from a number of our past Summer Broadway Musicals.

The visual impact of the artists’ work was powerful, beautiful, and poignant. The quality of their work was second to none, and judging was most difficult. The artists and their prize-winning works are listed below:

Second Place:   Pat Thomson, City Edge
